27-02-2024 - In the February 20, 2024 release, we made a change to the offset of models. This concerns an improvement in the offset for models that are far from the zero point. This solves problems with zooming and selecting elements, among other things.
Important information
The solution to the geometry problem involves applying the viewer offset, which was previously (0,0,0). This will be applied to all projects starting with the February 20, 2024 release. This has some consequences:
- The "Views" tab always stores the exact viewer coordinates. Applying the offset would break all views. Therefore, it was decided to only apply the offset to projects without views that were created before the fix's release date.
- If users experience geometry issues on a project with views prior to the release date, it is recommended that they delete all existing views. This means that the offset is applied.
- Performance on a project with many models may be slightly reduced because the viewer now has to wait for the first model to load in order to read the offset and apply it to subsequent models. However, these models are still loaded simultaneously as before.
