04-09-2023 - A while ago, BuildingSMART started a project to standardize the request of data in BIM models. We have almost finished this project, which means that we can now integrate this first version into the platform with Pillr. IDS is a document (based on an XML scheme) in which the requested data is stored in such a way that computers can read it. Soon we will be able to import this document via control rules, after which an automatic rule set will be created.
We can then use this rule set via our check definition to validate the supplied BIM model. With this new feature, we will connect to the export functionality of the ILS Configurator which will soon support the ILSs in this format.
